The discovery of the skeleton of Richard III in a Leicester car park - and the recent revelations of an infidelity within his familys bloodline - have made headline news around the world. In this free online course, a team of scholars from the University of Leicester address a broad set of themes about the England Richard would have inhabited in the 15th century and look back at his rediscovery and reinterment. Participants sign up for the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) at Futurelearn.com, work on the content at their own pace, and then meet at the library weekly to discuss the week's lesson. The online portion of the course begins February 27, 2017. To begin the course, simply go to Futurelearn.com, click on the magnifying glass and type Richard III into the search box. Click on the course and register for the online portion. Once registered at Futurelearn, go to LPL.org's calendar of events to also sign up for the in-house program.
