Facilitated by Mohamed Khater President of the Islamic Society of Central New York, this 2- part program will provide an introduction to Islam and its relationship to other religions, will explore the style and themes of the Quran touching on some of its concepts like God, life and death, family and community relationship and other topics. Also some misconceptions about Islam will be discussed like Jihad, Sharia, women status and others. Discussions and exchange of ideas are encouraged. Mohamed Khater attended Syracuse University. works as a software consultant in the financial sector, is a member of the roundtable of faith leaders of InterFaith works and is President/CEO of Rahma Health Clinic.
